The Texas A&M University System Health Science Center is involved in three programs geared to those working in the health care professions and sciences, such as physicians, dentists, nurses and public health researchers. In addition, the Stand Tall Against Tobacco (STAT ) program offers a pamphlet designed for distribution in pediatricians’ and family-practice physicians’ offices. The pamphlet contains information about STAT , pictures of tobacco-affected lungs and/or oral cavities, age-appropriate games/puzzles with a tobacco prevention/cessation message, and STAT contact information/website address.
